Klein Rijselhoek
After over ten years of tests on two plots in Menin, where he lives, Peter Vandamme planted one hectare with interspecific varieties at the foot of Mont Rouge, in the heart of Heuvelland. His goal has always been to produce natural wines. He is one of the few Belgian winemakers to have chosen this arduous path.
Souvignier Gris
This cuvée is a 100% Souvignier Gris, a naturally disease-resistant grape variety (PIWI) whose parents are Seyval Blanc and Zähringer (Traminer + Riesling).
In 2022, Peter Vandamme chose to make an orange wine from this grape variety through a short maceration of the skins. This wine is neither fined nor filtered, and therefore has a natural deposit that does not alter its taste. It is not sulphited either. A malolactic maceration was carried out to stabilise it.
