Ardent Spirits
Behind the Liège-based company Ardent Spirits is a tandem of natural goblet enthusiasts, Laurence Dupont and Roberto Fernandez. These two friends joined forces in 2016 to create Les Vintrépides, a friendly organic and natural wine shop in the centre of Liege (En Neuvice). Two years later, in partnership with the Noblesse 1882 distillery in Sprimont, they launched their own range of spirits. And in 2021, thanks to a particularly profitable crowdfunding, they opened the Liège Urban Winery - an urban winery in which they vinify their own vintages from grape varieties bought in France. Some Walloon winemakers provide them with the necessary expertise for the first vinifications. A great way to help each other!
Pastis Ardent
You may not know it, but "Monsieur Popsss" is a great lover of pastis. So we (he) tasted everything that our little country makes in the aniseed style. And the choice fell on Pastis Ardent des vintrépides Liégeois!
Like all the spirits of Ardent Spirits, Pastis Ardent is distilled at Noblesse, in the Liège region, a family distillery born in 1882, buried in the aftermath of the Second World War and relaunched a few years ago by Guillaume and Edouard Noblesse, worthy descendants of the founders.
The subtle blend of a dozen natural ingredients - the classic aniseed and liquorice, but also wormwood, angelica, coriander, cardamom, verbena... - give Pastis Ardent a spicy taste, with a rather sweet finish. It is certified organic.
