Château Tifayne
His distinctive sign is the hippo! A small, plump hippopotamus straight out of the fairy tale told to him by his grandmother and now stamped on all his labels. This type of joke is unusual in Bordeaux, but Renaud Limbosch remains a child at heart, whether the grumps like it or not. Located in Monbadon, 15 kilometres from Saint- Émilion, Château Tifayne comprises 13 hectares of vines on the Castillon and Francs appellations. Renaud and his wife Franziska, both of whom have diplomas in agricultural engineering from Gembloux, bought the vineyard in 1997.
Tifayne Blanc de Blancs
Recognised since 1990, the Crémant de Bordeaux PDO is the result of a long regional tradition of sparkling wine production, dating back to the 19th century. The appellation applies to both white and rosé wines, which can be produced throughout the entire Bordeaux vineyard under PDO. Under the impetus of a new generation of winegrowers - Belgians in particular ;) - the Crémant de Bordeaux is regaining its rightful place on festive tables.
Hand-picked, the grapes are pressed directly. The wine remains on slats for at least 18 months before disgorging.
Golden colour. Fine bubbles.
Nose of citrus fruits and white flowers.
Nervousness and freshness characterise this very pretty Crémant.
Long live Christmas!
